Phil Ochs

Phil Ochs was an American singer-songwriter associated with the 1960s protest folk movement. He was known for writing topical, politically charged songs that addressed civil rights, anti-war activism, and social issues, often delivered with satirical or sharply observational lyrics while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. His work incorporated elements of folk, folk-rock, and country-inflected arrangements, and he died in 1976.
