Peter Tosh

Peter Tosh was a Jamaican reggae musician and a founding member of the Wailers with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer. As a solo artist he developed a roots reggae sound characterized by steady rhythms, sharp rhythmic guitar, and direct, politically charged lyrics informed by Rastafarian beliefs. He was known for outspoken advocacy on social and political issues and for bringing militant themes into reggae before his death in 1987.
