Nick Cave

Nick Cave is an Australian singer, songwriter and writer best known for leading the post-punk group The Birthday Party and later fronting Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. His work mixes post-punk, gothic-tinged rock, blues and chamber textures, anchored by a low, expressive vocal delivery and vivid, narrative lyrics that frequently address themes of faith, love, violence and grief. He has a long-standing creative partnership with multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis and has undertaken film scoring and literary projects, with a reputation for theatrical intensity and literary-minded songwriting.
