Nena

Nena was a German band formed in 1982 and active until 1987, fronted by singer Gabriele "Nena" Kerner. The group combined Neue Deutsche Welle, synth-pop, and rock elements into concise, melody-driven songs marked by driving synthesizers, punchy rhythms, and a direct, expressive vocal style. They were a prominent part of the early 1980s German new wave scene and reached audiences beyond Germany during their initial run.
