Nelson Riddle

Nelson Riddle was an American arranger, composer, and bandleader known for elegant, jazz-informed orchestral arrangements in mid-20th century popular music. He worked extensively as an arranger and conductor for leading vocalists and recordings, led his own orchestra, and composed for film and television, with arrangements characterized by lush strings, inventive brass and woodwind voicings, and a blend of big band swing and sophisticated pop orchestration.
