Mott the Hoople

Mott the Hoople were a British rock band formed in 1969 that combined hard rock energy with melody-driven songwriting and elements of glam rock. Fronted by singer-songwriter Ian Hunter, their sound featured prominent guitar, organ and piano and a theatrical stage presence. They are associated with the early 1970s glam scene and worked with David Bowie, who supplied the song "All the Young Dudes" to the band; they disbanded in 1974.
