Motörhead

Motörhead was an English rock band formed in 1975 and active until 2015, led by bassist and singer Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister. Their sound combined elements of hard rock, proto-punk and heavy metal into a loud, fast, and aggressive style characterized by Lemmy's gravelly vocals, distorted bass tone and driving rhythms. The band is frequently associated with a stripped-down, high-energy approach to songwriting and performance and is often cited as an influence on later forms of heavy music such as speed metal and thrash metal.
