MFSB

MFSB (Mother Father Sister Brother) were a collective of Philadelphia-based session musicians who acted as the house band for Philadelphia International Records in the 1970s. Their sound blended orchestral soul, funk, and early disco, with arranged strings and horns layered over a driving rhythm section. They backed many artists from the Philadelphia soul scene and recorded instrumental tracks that exemplified the label's lush production style.
