Metallica

Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in 1981, known as a central force in the development of thrash metal. Their sound is built on aggressive, palm-muted guitar riffs, fast tempos and tight rhythms, with James Hetfield's rhythm guitar and vocals and Lars Ulrich's drumming as key elements and Kirk Hammett providing lead guitar work. Over their career they have broadened their approach to include slower tempos and more melodic elements while maintaining a heavy, guitar-driven core.
