Memphis Minnie

Memphis Minnie was an American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for her strong, clear vocals and dexterous guitar work, including fingerpicking and slide techniques. Active from the 1920s through the mid 20th century, she performed in both country blues and urban blues settings, working solo and with accompanists and moving from acoustic to electric guitar. Her versatility and assertive performance style made her a notable figure among early professional female blues musicians.
