Melvins

Melvins are an American rock band formed in Montesano, Washington, in 1983 by Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover. They are known for a heavy, slow, sludgy sound that blends punk aggression with metal weight, marked by distorted, downtuned guitars, deliberate tempos, and frequent experimentation with song structure and dynamics. Over a long career they have released a large body of work and explored styles from hardcore punk to doom and experimental rock, maintaining close ties to the Seattle scene and often being associated with early strands of sludge and doom that intersected with grunge.
