Mantronix

Mantronix was an American hip hop and electronic group formed in 1984, led by producer Kurtis Mantronik with MC Tee as the original rapper, active through 1991. Their music blended hip hop vocal delivery with electro-funk and club-oriented electronic production, often featuring prominent drum machine programming and sampling. Their studio approach helped bridge hip hop and electronic dance production and influenced how beats and electronic textures were used in both scenes.
