Mahavishnu Orchestra

Mahavishnu Orchestra was an American jazz fusion band formed in 1971 by guitarist John McLaughlin. The group blended jazz improvisation with rock energy and Indian rhythmic and melodic influences, featuring virtuosic electric guitar alongside electric violin and keyboards, complex time signatures, and dense, high-energy arrangements. Their sound helped shape the early 1970s fusion movement.
