Magazine

Magazine are a British band formed in 1977 by singer Howard Devoto after he left the Buzzcocks. Associated with the post-punk movement, their sound blends angular guitar lines, prominent synthesizer textures, disciplined rhythm work, and literate, often introspective lyrics. They moved away from punk's raw simplicity toward more experimental song structures and art rock influences and are regarded as an early and influential post-punk group.
