Madvillain

Madvillain was a US hip hop duo formed by producer Madlib and rapper MF DOOM, active from 2002 to 2020. Their music paired Madlib's dense, sample-based, collage-like production with MF DOOM's idiosyncratic, character-driven lyrical delivery, producing compact, experimental tracks that mixed lo-fi hip hop and jazz-inflected beats with unconventional song structures. The collaboration is known for its distinctive, alternative approach within underground hip hop.
