Lucio Battisti

Lucio Battisti was an Italian singer, songwriter, and composer whose career spanned from the 1960s through the 1990s. He was known for melodic, emotionally direct songwriting that incorporated pop, rock, and folk influences early on and moved toward more experimental and electronic textures in later work; he is also noted for long-term collaborations with lyricists such as Mogol and, later, Pasquale Panella.
