Louise Homer

Louise Homer (died 1947) was an American operatic mezzo-soprano active in the early 20th century. She was known for a rich, dark mezzo voice and a strong dramatic presence, appeared regularly at major American opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, and left early commercial recordings that document her vocal tone and interpretive approach.
