Lonnie Donegan

Lonnie Donegan was a British singer and guitarist associated with the 1950s skiffle movement. His music blended American folk, blues and jug band influences with acoustic guitar, banjo and washboard rhythms to produce a lively, stripped-back sound that helped bring skiffle into the British mainstream and influenced later British rock and pop musicians. He remained identified with skiffle throughout his career.
