Little Willie John

Little Willie John was an American rhythm and blues singer known for a raw, gospel-influenced vocal style and emotive delivery that anticipated elements of later soul singing. He recorded R&B ballads and uptempo numbers during the mid-20th century, and his career was curtailed by legal troubles and his death in 1968.
