Liquid Liquid

Liquid Liquid were an American post-punk band formed in New York City in 1980 and active until 1983. Their music combined spare, funk-inflected basslines, propulsive percussion, and minimalist melodic fragments, drawing on elements of dance, dub, and avant-garde post-punk. Part of the downtown New York scene, they were noted for rhythm-forward grooves and repeated patterns that informed later approaches to dance and alternative music.
