Lightning Bolt

Lightning Bolt is an American two-piece band from Providence, Rhode Island, formed in 1994 by bassist Brian Gibson and drummer/vocalist Brian Chippendale. Their sound combines heavily distorted, effects-driven bass with frenetic, rhythmically complex drumming and shouted or processed vocals, resulting in a loud, abrasive, high-energy noise rock approach. They are noted for intense, close-quarters live performances often played on the venue floor among the audience and for being a persistent presence in underground noise rock and experimental rock circles.
