Leroy Carr

Leroy Carr (died 1935) was an American blues singer and pianist known for a smooth, relaxed vocal delivery and understated piano accompaniment that helped shape an urban blues style in the late 1920s and early 1930s. He frequently recorded with guitarist Scrapper Blackwell and is remembered for a quieter, more polished approach to blues songcraft.
