Lee Dorsey

Lee Dorsey (died 1986) was an American singer from New Orleans whose work blended rhythm and blues, soul, and early funk into a rhythmic, groove-oriented sound. He is closely associated with songwriter-producer Allen Toussaint, and his recordings are noted for tight, punchy arrangements and a relaxed, conversational vocal delivery that suited the New Orleans musical style.
