LaBelle

LaBelle was an American vocal trio formed in 1970, consisting of Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx, and Sarah Dash; evolving from the earlier Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles, they blended R&B, soul, funk, and rock with theatrical, glam-influenced stage presentation and strong vocal harmonies, and in the early to mid 1970s explored harder-edged arrangements and socially conscious themes that broadened the stylistic range of female vocal groups.
