Kevin Ayers

Kevin Ayers was an English singer-songwriter and a founding member of the Canterbury scene band Soft Machine, known for a relaxed baritone and a whimsical blend of psychedelic rock, folk, and experimental pop. He had a long solo career characterized by eclectic arrangements, offbeat lyrical humor, and collaborations with other figures from the late 1960s and 1970s British psychedelic and avant-garde scenes. He died in 2013.
