Julian Cope

Julian Cope is an English singer, songwriter and author who first came to attention as the leader of the late 1970s and early 1980s band The Teardrop Explodes and later pursued a solo career. His work moves between post-punk and neo-psychedelia, often incorporating experimental arrangements, sprawling melodic passages and lyrical interest in mythology and history. He has also written books on music and on prehistoric sites, and is known for a outspoken, exploratory approach to both music and cultural topics.
