Johnny Winter

Johnny Winter was an American blues-rock guitarist and singer known for a high-energy electric blues style, fiery slide guitar technique, and raw vocal delivery. Emerging in the late 1960s, he became a prominent figure in blues-rock by blending traditional blues influences with amplified rock dynamics, and he also worked as a collaborator and producer for older blues artists such as Muddy Waters. He was noted for intense live performances and extended improvisation, and he died in 2014.
