Jimmy Cliff is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and actor whose music blends ska, rocksteady, and reggae with soul and gospel-influenced vocals. He is known for socially aware lyrics and for helping introduce Jamaican popular music to international audiences, and he appeared in and contributed music to the film The Harder They Come.
