Jimmie Rodgers

Jimmie Rodgers (died 1933) was an American singer known for blending country, blues, and folk elements with distinctive yodeling and a railroad-themed "Singing Brakeman" persona; his acoustic recordings from the late 1920s and early 1930s are often cited as foundational in the development of commercially recorded country music.
