Jefferson Airplane

Jefferson Airplane was an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1965 and active until 1973. They were associated with the late 1960s San Francisco psychedelic scene, blending folk rock and acid rock with prominent male and female vocals, tight vocal harmonies, and exploratory electric guitar and bass interplay. Their music often reflected counterculture themes, and key members included Grace Slick, Marty Balin, Paul Kantner, Jorma Kaukonen, and Jack Casady.
