Isaac Hayes

Isaac Hayes was an American singer, songwriter, composer and producer known for his deep baritone voice and for blending soul and funk with lush orchestral arrangements; he was a central creative figure at Stax Records and helped pioneer longer, cinematic soul recordings that emphasized groove and instrumental textures. He died in 2008.
