Inner City

Inner City is an American electronic music group formed in Detroit in 1987 by producer Kevin Saunderson with vocalist Paris Grey. Their sound blends Detroit techno and house rhythms with melodic, soulful vocals and accessible song structures, pairing club-oriented electronic production with pop-leaning vocal arrangements. The group is associated with the late 1980s Detroit techno scene and with efforts to bring vocal songwriting into dance music contexts.
