Incredible Bongo Band

Incredible Bongo Band was a US studio band formed in 1972 and active until 1974. They made percussion-driven instrumental funk and rock-influenced covers that emphasized layered bongos, congas and drum breaks. Several of their recordings, including a percussion-heavy cover of "Apache", supplied breakbeats that have been widely sampled in hip-hop and adopted in DJ and breakdance culture.
