Idlewild

Idlewild are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in 1995, known for music that moved from punk-inflected, high-energy indie rock toward more melodic and later folk-tinged arrangements. Fronted by vocalist Roddy Woomble, the group is associated with the late 1990s and early 2000s UK indie scene and is noted for shifting between rawer rock textures and more reflective, literate songwriting.
