Hüsker Dü

Hüsker Dü was an American rock band from Minneapolis active from 1979 to 1987. They started in hardcore punk and evolved toward a more melodic, guitar-driven sound that combined speed and aggression with tuneful songwriting, featuring shared vocals and songwriting by Bob Mould and Grant Hart alongside Greg Norton on bass. The trio's loud, compressed production, use of feedback, and concise songcraft helped bridge hardcore punk and early alternative rock.
