Gorillaz

Virtual band formed in 1999 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz blends alternative rock, electronic, hip hop and pop with elements of dub, trip hop and world music while frequently featuring guest vocalists and collaborators. Presented through animated characters and a strong visual narrative, the project is known for its genre-blending sound and multimedia approach to music and art.
