Gene Chandler

Gene Chandler is an American soul and R&B singer with roots in Chicago doo-wop, noted for a smooth baritone voice and rhythmic, melodic delivery. He rose to prominence in the early 1960s and is closely associated with the song "Duke of Earl"; in later years he also worked in production and business roles within the Chicago soul scene.
