Frankie Knuckles

Frankie Knuckles (US, died 2014) was a DJ and producer closely associated with the origins of Chicago house music. His approach blended disco and soul influences with electronic production techniques and DJ mixing, helping shape extended dancefloor mixes and early house production; he is closely associated with the club scene around the Warehouse in Chicago and with remixes and studio work that influenced later electronic and club artists.
