Fabrizio De André

Fabrizio De André (IT, died 1999) was an Italian singer-songwriter whose work combined poetic, narrative lyrics with a strong concern for marginalized characters and social themes. His sound drew on folk and ballad traditions with Mediterranean influences, often centered on acoustic arrangements and intimate storytelling, while later albums incorporated wider instrumentation and orchestral touches.
