Everything but the Girl

Everything but the Girl is a British duo formed in the early 1980s by singer-songwriter Tracey Thorn and guitarist-producer Ben Watt. Their work spans jazz-tinged pop and folk-rooted songwriting to later electronic and dance-oriented production, marked by understated, literate lyrics and Thorn's intimate vocal delivery and by shifts in arrangement and texture across different phases of their career.
