Disco Inferno

Disco Inferno were an English band formed in 1989 and active until 1995, led by singer-guitarist Ian Crause with Paul Wilmott on bass and Rob Whatley on drums. Their music combined guitar-based indie rock with studio-centered sampling and electronic textures, producing dense, collage-like arrangements and restrained vocals. Over their career they moved from post-punk and indie foundations toward increasingly experimental uses of recorded sounds and layered production, with later recordings, including the 1994 album D. I. Go Pop, emphasizing cut-up samples and unconventional song structures.
