Digable Planets

Digable Planets were an American hip hop trio formed in 1992 and disbanded in 2011. Their sound fused jazz-influenced samples and relaxed, melodic rapping with laid-back beats and atmospheric production, placing them within the early 1990s jazz rap and alternative hip hop movements. Their music emphasized groove and mood alongside socially conscious and Afrocentric lyrical themes, offering a smoother, more jazz-oriented alternative to harder-edged rap styles of the era.
