Derek and the Dominos

Formed in 1970 and active through 1971, Derek and the Dominos was an American blues-rock band organized by guitarist Eric Clapton with Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle, and Jim Gordon. The group pursued a raw, guitar-driven sound combining electric blues, soul-tinged vocals, and extended improvisational solos, and studio sessions featured slide guitar contributions from Duane Allman. Their brief run produced material known for its emotional intensity and guitar interplay.
