Denise LaSalle

Denise LaSalle was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer associated with Southern soul, R&B, and blues. Her work combined a warm, earthy vocal delivery with direct, narrative songwriting that often addressed adult relationships and life experience. She emerged in the late 1960s and continued to record and perform for decades, remaining linked to the Southern soul and blues tradition. She died in 2018.
