Dead Kennedys

Dead Kennedys were an American punk band formed in San Francisco in 1978 and active through 1986. Their music paired fast, abrasive punk and hardcore rhythms with angular, sometimes surf-tinged guitar work and sharply satirical, politically charged lyrics delivered by vocalist Jello Biafra. The group is associated with the Bay Area punk scene and is noted for its confrontational themes and distinct, uncompromising sound.
