David Crosby

David Crosby, who died in 2023, was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who helped shape folk-rock as a founding member of the Byrds and of Crosby, Stills & Nash. He was known for a clear, high tenor voice, inventive harmony arranging and guitar work that used complex chord voicings, and for collaborative songwriting and vocal interplay with other musicians. Across solo and group projects he was a distinctive presence in late 1960s and 1970s music.
