Dale Hawkins

Dale Hawkins was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter linked with rockabilly and early rock and roll, combining Delta blues, country, and Louisiana swamp influences into a raw, rhythmic sound. He is best known for his late 1950s recording of "Susie Q", which became widely covered, and he worked as a performer and occasional producer within the roots and swamp rock tradition. He died in 2010.
