Crystal Castles

Crystal Castles were a Canadian electronic duo formed in 2006 and disbanded in 2017. They combined lo-fi and chiptune-influenced synth textures with abrasive digital noise and heavily processed, vulnerable vocals, producing short, intense songs that blended pop hooks with a confrontational, dark aesthetic. Their work is often associated with the late 2000s indie electronic scene and a DIY, internet-driven underground sound.
