Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival was an American rock band active from 1959 to 1972, led by singer, guitarist and primary songwriter John Fogerty alongside Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook and Doug Clifford. Their music blended rock and roll, blues, country and R&B into concise, guitar-driven songs characterized by Fogerty's distinct vocal delivery and gritty guitar tone. Though based in California, their sound often evoked Southern and Americana themes, and they became associated with a direct, roots-oriented approach to rock music.
