Cluster

Cluster were a German electronic duo formed in 1971 by Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius. Their music combined minimalist electronic textures, tape manipulation, and experimental studio techniques, shifting between ambient atmospheres and more rhythmic, proto-krautrock elements. They worked with synthesizers, electronics, and looping to create abstract soundscapes that influenced subsequent ambient and electronic artists, and they collaborated with Brian Eno on projects in the 1970s.
